Bukola Oladimeji
Community Lead

Bukola Oladimeji is a nurse scholar, educator, researcher, and community advocate committed to advancing mental health and wellbeing among Black women and communities. She is a doctoral student in Nursing at Queen’s University and brings over two decades of experience across public health, academia, research, clinical research, and frontline nursing practice in Canada and internationally.

Her work sits at the intersection of mental health, migration, gender, and structural inequities. Through scholarship and community engagement, Bukola focuses on amplifying lived experiences, strengthening mental health knowledge, and translating research evidence into culturally responsive programs and policy-relevant action.

As an educator and Canadian Certified Simulation Nurse Educator (CCSNE), Bukola has taught across multiple undergraduate nursing courses, using equity-informed and psychologically safe approaches to support diverse learners. She has contributed to nationally and internationally funded research addressing health equity, simulation-based education, and the structural determinants of health. Her work has been recognized through competitive awards, scholarships, and professional honours.

Bukola is the Founder and President of Peramind Society for Health and Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating safe, affirming spaces for honest conversations about mental health, migration, identity, and wellbeing. Through Peramind, she leads workshops, peer-support initiatives, and educational programs that connect evidence with real-life experiences. Her approach is grounded in compassion, antiracism, cultural safety, and a deep belief in collective care, healing, and empowerment.

Adekeye Adebayo
Adekeye is a Mental Health Therapist with over a decade of clinical and faith-based counseling experience. At The Blackberry Center, she currently serves and provides psychological assessments, group therapy, addiction counseling, and personalized treatment plans. Previously a Substance Abuse Counsellor at New Season, she also serves as a Christian Counsellor and Administrative Officer at Summit Bible Church, offering grief support and leading community programs. Keye’s broad expertise equips her to guide individuals toward healing, growth, and lasting well-being.

Olufunmilayo Oladele

Olufunmilayo Oladele is a dedicated Social Worker currently serving in Adult Social Care within a London local authority. She specialises in supporting adults living with long‑term physical health conditions, providing advocacy, conducting holistic assessments, and developing personalised support plans that promote independence, dignity, and improved quality of life.

Before transitioning into adult services, Olufunmilayo worked with young people leaving care, where she played a key role in equipping them with the practical skills, confidence, and emotional support needed to navigate adulthood. Her commitment to empowerment and social justice is also reflected in her earlier work as a Project Lead with Jela’s Development Initiative, an NGO focused on expanding access to clean water, promoting blood donation, advancing mental health awareness, and fostering youth leadership through volunteering.

Olufunmilayo brings a uniquely diverse professional background to her practice, including previous experience in the banking sector with one of Nigeria’s foremost financial institutions. This blend of corporate insight, community development experience, and frontline social work expertise enables her to approach her role with strong analytical skills, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to meaningful, person‑centred support.

In addition to her professional work, Olufunmilayo is the founder and lead of Sacred Seasons, a YouTube channel where she shares personal reflections on life, family, and culture, creating a space for authenticity, storytelling, and connection.

Comfort Eshorun
Program Manager

Comfort is a highly experienced Pediatric Critical Care Nurse with over a decade of clinical expertise. She is a certified American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor BLS, PALS, and ACLS.

Her professional career spans across clinical practice, healthcare education, and community health advocacy, with a strong commitment to:
Strengthening patient-centred care, improving healthcare quality and safety, and enhancing emergency preparedness across diverse healthcare settings.

Comfort is passionate about equipping healthcare professionals with life-saving skills and promoting best practices that enhances patient outcomes.
